Östersund’s airport is located on Frösö Island and transport to the city centre only takes ten minutes. Airport buses run to and from the centre of Östersund in connection with most departures. Tickets can be purchased on Flygbussen and on the city bus service “stadsbussarna.” Tickets are valid for departures within 1 hour. There is a stop for the airport bus at the bus station by Gustav III’s torg, from where you can travel further around the county by bus.
